Anchorage Equine Laundry Service was founded in the spring of 2010 by Raena Schraer with the simple mission of washing and repairing horse blankets in southcentral Alaska. At the time there was no service doing this in Anchorage or surrounding areas and most laundromats are not interested in letting the horse community wash their blankets.

Over the years I have moved locations, purchased additional washing machines, repaired washing machines, purchased an industrial sewing machine, nearly destroyed my regular sewing machine, and currently wash and repair way too many blankets per year 🙂
